What I am loving for weddings this summer
With every new season of life that I enter, I find I do so with both the mixed emotions that come with getting older and nostalgia of my childhood. I was that little girl who would lay in bed at night and wonder who she would marry, what she would wear, how she would decorate (I know, I know seven year old me was as girly as it gets). Now that the time has come where I not only have experienced my big day, I am watching all those closest to me marry, too, and I am finding myself extra emotional (happy tears, of course). With one wedding down, my husband and I have seven more to go this year.
I love weddings for so many reasons, you’re celebrating someone you love marry their person. There’s always good music, conversation, food and most of all - fashion ;). I both loathe and love wedding attire. The love is self explanatory- who doesn’t love getting dressed up in a special outfit for a fun occasion? The loathe part though comes when I am on the hunt for said outfit.
So, I thought as we enter this season of weddings, I would help scour the internet in hopes to find you a dress to wear to an upcoming event. You will see I have broken it down by dress code, and the dresses go from least to most expensive. On that note I will say - as you find your schedule filling up with weddings, it is just not reasonable to buy a new dress for each occasion. Don’t be afraid to rewear, or spend less for some events and more for others. Also I would be remiss to not mention Nuuly, Rent the Runway or Fashion Pass - all great sites if you are looking to rent! Now, let’s get into it.
