June R.E.P.O.R.T
What I’m reading, eating, playing, obsessing over, recommending, and treating myself to this June!
Every time I see this trend on tiktok or Substack, I have to read. I am always curious as to what people are loving in hopes that I find something that sparkles a little magic in me, too. I decided it would be fun to do this monthly, and share all the things that I am reading, eating, playing, obsessing over, recommending and treating myself to!
R: This past month I have read a few books. I read Funny Story by Emily Henry for book club and adored it. Her books are so cute and easy to read. Perfect for the beach! I also read This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune and thought it was also a cute summer read. I loved her books Every Summer After and Meet Me at the Lake, so I was excited to read her latest and was not disappointed!
Another read I have been loving is The Fooret’s Substack. Last summer, I did a total toxin test with my doctor. To my delight, I found that I had quite the abundance of toxins in my system :’) how lovely! But in all seriousness, as much as I love the beauty space, many of our beloved products are filled with unhealthy chemicals. I have been slowly transitioning my beauty and home products to cleaner alternatives. It hasn’t been the easiest change to be honest. I have definitely wasted a pretty penny trying new products just to be disappointed in the result. But that is why I was SO excited when Drew created her substack. She shares her recommendations on all non toxic products. From dishwasher soap to hair care to bed sheets, she has a clean alternative for everything. I definitely recommend it if you are on the non toxic train like me!
E: Summer is in full swing and so is our garden! This year, we planted zucchini, summer squash, butternut squash, patty pans, egg plant, carrots, basil and oregano. I (sadly) killed one summer squash plant by pulling a little too hard on it and I may have killed my oregano plant (cause of death unknown) but we’re going to pretend like that didn’t happen. The rest of it - thriving!! Although I guarantee you in August I will write about how sick of zucchini I am, I am currently a veggie eating machine. We are pretty simple when it comes to preparation. I like to chop them up small, drizzle with olive oil, top with salt and Italian seasoning, and roast them in the oven until they’re golden brown. We always throw a protein on top, maybe some olives or avocado, and voila! Simple yet delicious.

P: We are on the latest season of For All Man Kind and though this season isn’t as good as the first two, we are loving it. It took some convincing for me to start this show (NASA and the space race didn’t exactly spark interest in my girly girl mind) but once we started, I was hooked. Once we finish this we will be rewatching season one of house of dragon to prep for season two! As a GOT lover, I have high expectations!!!
I also have to mention that I recently listened to some great podcast episodes. I loved this episode with Ed Mylett and Joe Dispenza. They dive into the role that your mindset plays on your health and overall quality of life. I also loved this Blonde Files episode with Dr. Tax Bhatia, talking all things hormones and gut!
O: I have been obsessed with my house. For multiple reasons. As a recovering people pleaser, I spent my winter and spring not at home. But, as I am learning to both set boundaries and prioritize taking care of myself first, I have found myself spending more time at home and truly enjoying the peace and quiet. The second reason I am obsessed with my home is due to my talented mother. I have had the privilege of working with her on decorating my house. Growing up with an interior designer as a mother I have watched her transform spaces and turn many houses into homes. She has an eye for design that I admire and aspire to have. I have always loved when she shows me different fabric swatches or ideas she has for rooms. Now as a home owner myself, it has been so fun to work together to create a home that reflects my husband and I. My biggest take away on this process is not to rush it. When I first moved in, I wanted to fill our home asap. But to find the perfect piece, it takes time. Live in the space and think it through before buying anything! Interior design tips from my mom coming to substack soon!!

R: I recently got asked out of all my partnerships, what product do I love the most. Although there have been many brands that I adore and am so grateful to have worked with, when I actually sat back to think about the one product I recommend the most, it surprised me. The product that I feel like I am constantly sending to my friends is Diamond Drunk. Diamond Drunk is a clean non toxic jewelry cleaner. It will clean diamonds, gold, and silver jewelry. When I have a jewelry item I love, I never take it off. Inevitably, it gets dirty from lotions, makeup, etc. This product truly cleans it until it looks brand new. And I love how aesthetic it is on my vanity ;). Had to share!!
T: If you read my last substack, you know that I am a huge fan of accupuncture. I have been focusing on balancing out my hormones and cortisol levels and have found that nothing brings my body into a state of relaxation like accupuncture does. I truly feel it shut down my nervous system and bring me into parasympathetic mode. But like I also mentioned, accupuncture is no cheap thrill. It is both a treat and investment I am making in my health, happiness, and quality of life!
I hope you all had a great June! I am looking forward to taking some time offline and with family for the upcoming holiday. Talk soon!
Xx,
